The first day I learnt about Chatgpt, I was definitely indifferent about the wonder tool as my friend called it.
Ifeanyi my friend and lodge mate then at the the Federal polytechnic posted on his WhatsApp status telling people to borrow the services of the Wonder tool in writing their academic projects and handling home works. I have always assisted some students handle their essay writing and academic projects for a little pay, that was how we augmented our pocket money as students then.
When I heard about the wonder tool, I quickly launched into the Google play store, behold! I saw one.
My first trial left me in awe and great fear. Alas! The Internet has stolen from us. The little money we made writing people's projects and assignments is gone.
My fear was much more considering what will happen to professional authors as this wonder tool can produce contents much better than theirs. By then, one of my books was nearing completion but my fear couldn't allow me touch it any longer.
My fear also was, what will then come of those intelligent students in schools? All of us will have to come to school and submit a perfect copy of assignment and go home with equal scores.
I was with a friend one day, Kingsley a JavaScript and React developer. I outlined my worries and fears about this AI of a thing. However, it seems he was the only one not understanding my worries.
