2025 UTME: Joint Admission Matriculation Board releases statistics of student performances.

Following the conclusion of the 2025 unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, the joint admission and Matriculation board has taken to their Twitter handle to announce the statistical analysis of student’s performance.

The analysis which was sent as Google doc was sighted by Saltcity Careers showed that a total of 24828 candidates scored 300 while over 1.5m scored below 200.

Recall that the 2025 UTME commenced on 24 April and ended on 5th of May, 2025 after the general mock examination and due preparations

According to JAMB, 40,247 underage candidates were permitted to demonstrate their exceptional abilities.but, only 467 of these candidates (1.16%) achieved scores that meet the threshold for exceptional ability as defined for the UTME, with their performance in the subsequent three stages still pen

97 candidates were involved in examination malpractice, while 2,157 others are currently undergoing investigations for suspected malpractices.

Additionally, 71,701 candidates were absent. Those facing biometric challenges are also under investigation, and those who are cleared will be rescheduled for examination at designated centres.

It was also contained in the publication that a press conference to announce the result will be officially held by the evening on Monday 5th May, 2025.
