The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Thursday, April 16.
According to a statement issued by the Board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, a total of 632,788 results have been released and are now available for candidates to check.
How to Check Your 2026 UTME Result
Candidates can check their results via SMS by following the steps below:
Send UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019
Use the same phone number (SIM) used during JAMB registration
Note: You can only view your result for now. Printing options will be made available later.
JAMB also issued a strong warning against result manipulation or falsification.
The Board emphasized that:
Altering result messages received via SMS is a criminal offence
Offenders will face legal consequences
The Board also revealed that enforcement actions are already ongoing.
“Two candidates and one parent are currently in custody for attempting to falsify UTME results using AI and other electronic means,” the statement noted.
The JAMB reassured candidates that the UTME process is still ongoing. Results will continue to be released in batches as they are processed.
Candidates who have not yet seen their results are advised to remain patient and keep checking through the official channels.
