The Nigerian University Commission has approved the addition of 22 more programs into the academic programs of Federal university Oyo Ekiti (FUOYE).
This extraordinary achievement was gained due to the Vice Chancellor’s commitment in expanding the university’s study programs and to inject new and trending academic disciplines into the school and as well to broaden the academic reach of students interested in studying those courses in the institution. This is in line with the Vice Chancellor-Prof. Abayomi Fasina’s developmental goal for the university.
Contained in a letter sent to the institution from the Nigerian University Commission dated 11th Dec, 2024, the newly approved programs are being listed below:
Undergraduate:
- B.Eng in Infirmation and Communication Engineering
- B Eng in software Engineering
- BSc in Cyber security
Postgraduate Diplomas:
- PGD in Education.
- PGD in criminology and security studies
- PGD in Educational Management
Masters and Doctorate:
MSc & PhD in
- Science Education
- Criminology and security studies
- Business Education and
- Educational Management
More so, approval was also granted for professional masters programs in:
- Forensic Accounting
- Financial Fraud Management and Intelligence
- Public Financial Management
- Criminology and security studies.
This is an uncommon feat which calls for jubilation in the university community and among prospective students of the university.
