The MasterCard Foundation Funds for Alumni Startups in transition is aimed to provide financial empowerments for startup entreprenuers in Nigeria and Arica.

About MasterCard Foundation Funds for Alumni Startups 2025

In view of supporting major startup businesses in Nigeria and Africa, MasterCard in partnership with CCHub Nigeria, MFG Global, Concree Scaleup, The African Leadership Academy and others have launched a program to help the alumni of MasterCard Foundation programs to launch their respective businesses and Scaleup existing ones.

The program will support and empower aspiring entrepreneurs, with a financial grants worth of about $15,000

Who can benefit?

  • The program is open to aspiring entrepreneurs 
  • Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI)
  • African Leadership Academy (ALA),
  • Anzisha Prize, and the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program.

Stages of Businesses to be supported 

  1. Idea Phase: about $5,000
  2. Build Phase: $10,000 to $15,000.
