How to Apply for the McGill Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program 2025
The application process follows a two-stage process, and it’s important to follow each step carefully:
- Determine Your Eligibility
- Register and Attend a Mandatory Virtual Information Session
- Complete the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program Application Form
- Wait for Pre-Screening Results
- Apply to McGill University
Important: Do not apply directly to McGill University before being invited. Applications outside this process will not be considered. Also, if you deferred a previous McGill admission, you must reapply for the scholarship.
Application Timeline
- July 3 – July 28, 2025: Mandatory virtual session
- August 4, 2025: Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program application opens
- August 31, 2025: Application deadline
- September to December 2025: Pre-screened applicants apply to McGill University
- December 1, 2025: Deadline for Public Health and Biostatistics programs
- January 15, 2026: Deadline for all other programs
- February 2026: Admission decisions released
- Mid-February to March 2026: Final scholarship recipients selected
