Application for the 2025/2026 NDDC Postgraduate Scholarship for Nigerian Students is currently ongoing. The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has officially announced its 2025/2026 Postgraduate Scholarship Programme for Master’s Degree students from the Niger Delta region only for candidates currently studying or aiming to enrol for Master’s degree programs in Nigerian universities.
The scholarship is aimed at empowering indigenes of the region through quality education and skill acquisition; a fully funded Master’s degree program attainable in Nigeria.

About the NDDC Postgraduate Scholarship
The NDDC Postgraduate Scholarship Programme (Local) is part of the Commission’s efforts to enhance human resource development in the Niger Delta. The goal is to equip young professionals with specialized education and training to promote regional growth and participation in the Federal Government’s local content programme.
This annual scholarship scheme is specifically designed for postgraduate (Master’s level) studies in Nigerian universities and is targeted at key professional disciplines

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following approved fields:
- Agricultural Sciences
- Architecture
- Engineering
- Environmental Sciences
- Geosciences
- Humanities
- Information Technology
- Law
- Management & Social Sciences

Eligibility Criteria for NDDC Postgraduate Scholarship
To qualify for the 2025/2026 NDDC Postgraduate scholarship , applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Must be an indigene of the Niger Delta region.
- Must not be older than 40 years.
- Must possess:
- A First Class, Second Class Upper, or Lower Bachelor’s Degree,
- Or a Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least Upper Credit,
- Plus a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) if require
Selection Process
- Initial Online Application: Applicants must complete the application form on the NDDC portal.
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a CBT in Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, and Rivers States.
- Minimum Test Score Requirement: Candidates must meet a minimum test score to qualify.
- Further Shortlisting: Those who meet the score requirement will undergo oral interviews.
- Final Verification: Candidates’ details will be verified through Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Community Development Committees (CDCs

- Admission letter for a Postgraduate program from a recognized Nigerian university
- Degree certificates
- NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate
After submitting the application form, a registration number will be automatically generated. Print and keep the acknowledgement slip safe for reference.

Important Notes
- The NDDC will not entertain any communication from candidates who do not qualify for the Computer-Based Test (CBT).
- Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the CBT, interview, and verification stages.
