Eligibility & Requirements
To be eligible for the UBA Foundation National Essay Competition, applicants must:
- Be a Nigerian Senior Secondary School Student
- Complete the online application form
- Upload a handwritten essay (maximum 750 words; not typed)
- Attach a recent passport photograph
- Submit a scanned copy of one of the following:
- Birth Certificate
- National ID
- International Passport
Selection Process
- Initial Review:
- A panel of distinguished professors from reputable Nigerian universities will evaluate all entries.
- 12 finalists will be shortlisted.
- Final Stage:
- Finalists will be invited to the UBA Head Office, Lagos for a supervised essay writing round.
- The panel will then select the top 3 winners.
