UNILAG Issues Notice on ID Card Upload and Re-Upload for Students- Deadline: August 31, 2025

Important Notice UNILAG Nigeria 2025 1024x512 1

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has released an important notice to all students regarding the re-upload of passport photographs and signatures on the institution’s ID card portal.

This directive affects students who carried out uploads between Wednesday, August 20, and Friday, August 22, 2025.

Affected students are required to re-upload a clear passport photograph with a white background and a clear signature to ensure proper processing of their school ID cards. The re-upload should be done via the official portal

The management emphasized that students must confirm that both their passport photo and signature are correctly displayed on the portal before clicking submit.

Deadline:

August 31, 2025

Eligible Categories of Students

The notice applies to the following groups:

  1. Newly admitted students (2024/2025 academic session).
  2. Students in Year 2, 3, 4, or 5 who have not yet collected their ID cards but have formally written to the Academic Affairs Unit.
  3. Students who lost or misplaced their ID cards and have submitted:
    • Evidence of payment for replacement, and
    • A valid Police Report.

Reasons for this Directives

  • Some students uploaded photographs taken against non-white backgrounds. Such ID cards will not be processed.
  • Students must upload a passport with a white background and a clear signature to avoid disqualification.

The student ID card will be needed at several occasions not only for identification; some of which are:

  • Access to university facilities.
  • Sitting for examinations.
  • Applying for scholarships or grants.
  • Serving as an official document for NYSC mobilization and beyond.

Failure to meet the deadline could cause unnecessary delays in accessing these benefits.
