About University of Pisa DSU Scholarship 2025
The DSU (Agenzia Regionale Diritto allo Studio Universitario) is the Tuscany Regional Council’s agency responsible for supporting university students’ right to education. Through the University of Pisa, DSU offers generous scholarships to both EU and non-EU students, covering most academic and living expenses.

The DSU grant is fully funded and includes the following benefits:

Who Can for the University of Pisa DSU Scholarship 2025
The DSU scholarship is open to:
- Students planning to enroll in a Degree program at the University of Pisa
- Students who do not already hold a qualification of the same level of education they are applying for
- Both EU and non-EU international students, including those from developing countries
Note: Students must reapply each academic year, as the grant is valid for only one year.
Required Documents for DSU Scholarship Application
For All Applicants:
- Completed online application via the Sportello Studente platform
- Proof of family economic status (income, real estate, movable assets)
- Valid identity document
- Application receipt, printed after online submission
Additional Documents for Different Categories:
Non-EU Students from Developing Countries
- Must submit a certificate stating they do not belong to a high-income family, issued by:
- The Italian Embassy/Consulate in their home country, or
- Their country’s diplomatic body in Italy
- Certificate must be legalized by the Italian Diplomacy
Other Non-EU Students
- Must submit all family documents, translated into Italian and legalized
- Documents include proof of:
- Family status
- Annual income
- Real estate holdings
- Movable assets
How to Apply
- Application is online only, via the Sportello Studente Portal.
- The call for application is released every mid-July on the DSU Toscana website.
- Students may apply even if not yet officially enrolled at the University of Pisa.
How Are Scholarships Awarded?
- For first-year applicants, only family income is considered.
- From the second year onwards, academic performance (merit) is also evaluated.
- A single ranking list is created for all applicants; both international and Italian.
- Results are published in two stages:
- Provisional ranking: End of September
- Final ranking: End of November
- Students must check their personal area for updates. No personal notifications will be sent by email or post.
