Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Implement custom functionality including custom post types, taxonomies, and APIs to extend WordPress capabilities.
- Integrate third-party APIs and ensure seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems.
- Optimize websites for performance, speed, security, and responsiveness across all devices and browsers.
- Test, debug, and troubleshoot technical issues to deliver high-quality, error-free solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum 2 years professional experience in WordPress and PHP development.
- Strong proficiency in:
- PHP (OOP concepts; frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter are a plus)
- WordPress (custom themes, plugins, hooks, shortcodes)
- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Database management (MySQL)
- RESTful APIs and JSON integration
- Git/GitHub or other version control systems
- Understanding of SEO best practices, website accessibility, and performance optimization.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects independently.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with headless WordPress setups or API-driven architecture.
- Knowledge of Cpanel, WHMCS, Digital Ocean, Hostinger, or other hosting tools.
- Familiarity with design tools like Figma or Adobe XD for front-end collaboration.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles.
