General Requirements for LASU Academic Staff Recruitment 2025

1. Professor:
   • 10 years post-doctoral experience.
   • At least 25 academic publications.
   • Strong research and teaching background.
2. Associate Professor:
   • 8 years post-doctoral experience.
   • Minimum of 20 publications.
3. Senior Lecturer:
   • 6 years post-doctoral experience.
   • At least 15 publications.
4. Lecturer I / II:
   • Minimum of PhD and 2–5 publications depending on level.
5. Assistant Lecturer:
   • M.A./M.Ed./M.Sc. with evidence of PhD admission.
6. Laboratory Technologist:
   • M.Sc. Geography (Climatology or Environmental Geography).

All candidates must have:

• 5 relevant O’Level credits (including English & Mathematics).
• Minimum of Second-Class Lower (2:2) in First Degree.
• NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
• Membership of relevant professional bodies (for Architecture, Surveying, Building, etc.).
